ICO is coming: Spectiv — are they serious?
11/02/2017

Overview from the team kript.io

What is Spectiv: a VR video hosting platform.
Project: developers plan to create a platform for sharing, discovering, and experiencing the full power of VR.

On Spectiv, users can create their video either for free access or a pay-per-view. They also can make a VR-video within the platform.

Besides the user's content, Spectiv also plan to create and stream the original content using its own equipment: sports events, concerts, documentaries, and virtual tours in real time.

Website: spectivvr.com

Analog: Netflix VR, Google's Daydream, and YouTube VR.

How they differ from the competitors:
they plan to work directly with clients — there aren't any intermediaries between content creators, consumers, and advertisers.

How they want to make money:
payments for VR content and ads.

Market size:
according to Statista VR software and hardware market size is 3,7 billion all over the world. In 2018, it is expected to hit 12,1 billion and 40,4 billion in 2020.

What their token gives you: an internal currency.

Token price: 1 SIG = $0,5

What will happen to tokens: the total number of SIGs sold is directly equal to the total number of SIGs created. When the maximum cap is reached, sales will end straight away.
How much they want to raise on ICO: hard cap — $40 million.

Where the money will go:

40% — Signal Token protocol and Spectiv development;
15% — marketing and sales;
15% — broadcasting licensing deals;
10% — payouts for contributors;
8% — VR equipment;
7% — general and administrative;
5% — legal fees.

Crew: co-founders Dylan Senter and Nick Ravanbakhsh are serial startuppers. Their project Sensytec has attracted $3 million from venture funds.

Free tokens:
you can get them for advertising campaigns on the social networks.

Project Status:
they promised to release an alpha version in the first week of November — they haven't yet.

Communication:
twitter, linkedIn, facebook, slack, bitcointalk.

Date of ICO:
December 8-29, 2017.
Information on the landing page: ★★★☆☆
Disadvantages: they have neither a working platform nor the alpha-version. Also, there aren't even any photos of their VR equipment or a list of their partners. Plus, the info about the projects doesn't match on certain resources.
How clear is the project: ★★☆☆☆
