ICO is coming: ALIS — are they serious?

Overview from the team kript.io

What is ALIS: a platform for content publishing where an audience can pay to the authors for the content they like.
Project: imagine that you are looking for an article about a cryptocurrency. You browse it on the Internet, write something like "what is a cryptocurrency", and get a ton of info, the majority of which is either hidden advertising or materials from scammers. At ALIS, they promise that you only get the information certified by experts. To have this working, you just need to search for good content and pay to the authors by ALIS tokens.

Website: alismedia.jp

Analog: Steem.

How they differ from the competitors: ALIS focuses on the Japanese audience. Their unique difference from Steem: the authors who provide high-quality content and those who discover it first will get more tokens than others.

How they want to make money: at the beginning, they plan to develop the project on the money raised on the ICO. Later, they will release and sell extra 20% tokens on the crypto market annually.

Market size: annual revenue from Mass Media and services with elements of social networks in Japan — $206,6 billion.

What their token gives you: an internal currency. The maximum number of tokens is 500 million. During the ICO, developers will sell 250 million, the rest they will leave to themselves. According to the smart-contract, these tokens will be frozen for another three years. We remind you that the number of tokens will be increasing by 20% annually.
Token price: they will launch the ICO for four weeks. Every week the token's price will be rising:

1st week — from 9/1 to 9/7 — 1 ALIS = 0,000345 ETH
2nd week — from 9/8 to 9/14 — 1 ALIS = 0,000385 ETH
3rd week — from 9/15 to 9/21 — 1 ALIS = 0,000435 ETH
4th week — from 9/21 to 9/29 — 1 ALIS = 0,0005 ETH

How much they want to make during ICO: min $3,5 million / max $30 million. If they don't make the minimum, they will give the money back.

Where the money will go:
25% — hiring employees — UI/UX designer, Web-designer, engineers
25% — attraction marketing
25% — legal expenses for the ICO launch and company registration in Hong Kong
25% — expenses for partners and the first followers of the project

If they make more than the minimum, they will spend the money on:
— more reliable back-office (accounting and legal support)
— users support
— opening their office
Crew: 6 people. Specialists in front-end, back-end and UI/UX design, social media, HR, Kaizen Platform-who are working in the biggest Japanese companies such as Recruit Career and Benesse Corporation.

Free tokens: there's no information about a bounty-program yet.

Project status: preparing for an ICO. They promise to release a beta-version in April 2018. The official release of ALIS is planned for October 2018.

twitter, slack, medium, github, trello, bitcointalk

Date of the ICO: September 1st-29th, 2017.

Information on the landing page: ★★★☆☆
Disadvantages: there will be more and more tokens every year, which means that their price should decrease. What the company is planning instead is to make money exactly on the token's sale. Well, looks a bit like a doubtful model for future.
How clear is the project: ★★☆☆☆
